I get asked this question many times, and it's rather an interesting question to ask and consider. Many people define success by accomplishing a specific goal at some point in their life, but I define success a little bit differently.
Of course everyone has their own perception of how they define success. But I truly believe, that success is defined by a series of events in someone's life. Let me break this down.
Your life consists of a series of events, for example:
When you were 1 years old, you learned how to walk. Success.
When you were 5 years old, you graduated 1st grade. Success.
When you were 13 years old, you experienced your first crush. Yes, I consider that success.
When you were 16 years old, and got your drivers license. Success.
When you turned 21 years old. I don't even have to mention this... But we all know that feeling. Success.
What I'm trying to say is that whether you've just got your first promotion at your job, or you've successfully learned to how to cook a delicious plate of spaghetti. It doesn't matter what it is, how big or how small. They're specific events that occur in your life. And if it made you feel good inside, like a superstar. Literally. Then that's what I define success. A series of events that occur in your life that make you feel good, valuable, and un-stoppable.
Many people feel that if they accomplish a specific goal at some point in their life, they would finally be successful. Trust me, I've been there. But throughout my journey, I've learned that it wasn't true for me anymore. I always felt that if I made a specific amount of money, had my work displayed on a billboard, or getting published in a specific magazine, that somehow that would define my success. But once I reached those goals, I asked myself, "did that really define my success?".... The answer was no. Was I happy and thankful? Yes I was. At that very moment I then realized that all of the events that occurred in my life, was merely a reflection of my success.
So, in conclusion. I believe everyone is successful. Simply because we've all experienced happiness, and felt that un-stoppable feeling when certain events occur in our life.
