Being a woman is beautiful... But being a woman filled with self-care and self-love is a blessing. As I was documenting this Multi-cultural Woman's Conference, I was holding back tears because of how they all gathered together and openly expressed themselves with no judgement and no fears.
Often times us women feel pressured to "fit" in societies definition of what normal "should" look like. And so we feel like we need to change ourselves in order to feel "accepted". This leads us to hide who we really are as women, because we fear that we may not be good enough.
The Sister's In Conference stood strong on having Self-Care, Self-Love, and Collective Healing. As I documented them meditating, doing yoga and expressing themselves fully, I felt them evolving more and more into stronger and wiser women.
I documented this event in a photojournalistic style because these women you're about to witness are RAW women with real emotions, real tears, and real smiles. It's as real as it gets.
